Hello, I am a sound designer currently based in the Cornwall, UK. My main interests within audio is the creation, post production and implementation of AAA sound design. I enjoy the texture and shine of high quality sounds based on a realistic feel, creating sounds that enhance the immersion of the action and story, drawing the player into the game world.

I have played games intensely my entire life but the creation of them in my early years seemed unreachable, It was simply a different world to my own and games weren't made in Cornwall. They where made in America and Japan. However my college (Dbs Plymouth) sparked my interest in the potential of a career in Game Audio via a Game Audio Implementation module and from the first time I realised how to change the reverb of footsteps based on the space that the character was in using Wwise, I was hooked.

I went on to Falmouth University where I graduated in a BA(Hons) Creative Music Technology with a focus on sound design for both Interactive and linear audio including audio programming, 3D surround sound and the use of MaxMSP and other advanced tools for synthesis and creative audio processing.

However looking back my love for the 'art of sound design' has been rooted in my childhood experience with games. I found that the joy in my earliest game and media experiences was largely derived from the sound of what was happening on screen. I believe that I have grown up at the perfect time to appreciate the rapid growth of game and audio technology. From a toddler hearing the iconic coin collection sound of Mario to a kid sitting and spamming the 'flipendo' spell in PS1 Harry Potter games just to hear the variations in the way the character speaks, all the way up to speculating with friends how sound might change with the coming technological advances.

 

I am currently an audio-visual producer that has recently created content and advertising for local musicians and companies as well as gaining screenings at multiple international film festivals and music plays on several radio stations including BBC Radio Cornwall and Source FM.

I have been working as the in-house content creator for Shield Professionals LTD for the last four years designing and creating event posters, photography and other business graphic and audio-visual needs throughout the year.

On top of this I have been a freelance audio visual producer for podcasters, fashion and makeup bloggers, musicians, directors and others within the creative industry producing many and varied pieces of content including: writing copy, posters, T-shirt and product design as well as all of their general photography and videography needs in which I have performed every role within the process from recording, editing and colour grading to helping with SEO and initiatives to increase an artists fan base.
